Background

FEBE-4 (Basic Nursing Training in Europe) is a project that originated from the need that we observed in our educational center, for the students of the Intermediate Cycle of Auxiliary Nursing Care, to be trained in the care field in centers socio-sanitary -hospitals and geriatric residences in other European countries-. We believe that the experience carried out improves the professional, personal and social skills of the participants: teachers and students. The excellent relationship we have with the host organization has allowed us to formalize similar agreements with them. Thus, Belgian nursing students have participated in Erasmus projects in our region. In the same way, HIVSET Belgium teachers have been beneficiaries of jobshadowing and teaching activities (this last year). In short, we believe that this project improves the educational offer of the institute, both for students and teachers. It improves the professional skills of teachers and students, and the academic and job opportunities of the students.
