Objectives

- The opportunity to leave the Canary Islands as an outermost region sharing a broader and more Europeanist vision for our young students, favoring inclusion. - Complete and finish their academic period through quality training practices in companies and prestigious organizations. - Measurable improvement of the students' language. Initially with the OLS tool (Online Linguistic Support) and subsequently with on-site internships in the host country. - The improvement of the student's curriculum through the internship experience in Europe. allowing them to improve access to the world of work. - And especially, we must highlight the possibility of joining a labor market for a better comprehensive training in another European country both for the language and for the knowledge of new skills that complete their training. The mentoring and leadership of both students and teachers who have been able to share the experience of exchange supposes, within the objectives of IES EL SOBRADILLO, the possibility of having a broader vision and transversal of annual center programs.

Background

The "IES El Sobradillo" in Santa Cruz de Tenerife is located on the outskirts of the capital of the island, in a neighborhood which has a high presence of new constructions, combined with old country houses with land for the farming. Our center has participated in several Erasmus projects, and these initiatives constitute the mission of the educational center that puts the student in a position to experiment, compare, learn and grow through self-awareness, their abilities and the world around him. Therefore, our institution has the following objectives: 1. A school open to the dialogue with students, families, the community and their environment, with a view to giving and receiving cooperation. 2. Educate coexistence, respect, acceptance of what is different. 3. Promote the development of skills andacademic and professional skills to be able to make appropriate decisions. 4. Provide tools and opportunities because students learn and gain self-awareness and reality. 5. A school for each and every one of its members. 6. Train students open to innovation andentrepreneurship.
