To carry out a methodological renewal of our language teaching in the following subjects: English, French and Spanish as a foreign languge. In order to achieve this aim, we are going to focus on the observation and study of international good practices with special emphasis on the use of new technologies in the classroom, project based learning, the use of drama and role-playing techniques in language teaching and fostering critical thinking as a tool for integration and intercultural communication.
Our project aims to equip our foreign language teachers with innovative teaching tools by taking part in language job shadowing experiences in European education institutions renowned for their good practices as well as in international training courses specifically designed for language teaching professionals. The final goal is to tackle the challenges of catering to adult students who, for the most part, come from monolingual non-academic backgrounds and have had no prior contact with foreign language learning. Furthermore, the results of our research will be gathered in a foreign language teaching good practices document, which sums up our experiences. Therefore, in the near future our school can be promoted as a host institution to receive other European professionals interested in improving their foreing language teaching methodology by means of innovative methods. This way, we can foster interculturality and the internationalisation of our school, and provide our new foreign language teachers with a methodological guide that will help them grasp the teaching dynamics of our school in this area. We also aspire to consolidate our teaching staff, earn loyalty, reduce student absenteeism and draw the attention of new students.
