Objectives

As described in The Educational Project and shown on the website of the centre our reality is "Depopulation in Spain". With a population density of six inhabitants per square kilometre we must strive to settle people and prevent the exodus of people from the countryside. This is especially true for those at a working age. As well as a lack of opportunities, there are few initiatives. A large amount of people at a working age expect to be employed by a public company or institution, but this does not always occur. Education is a medium and long-term commitment. If we sow the seeds of entrepreneurship, adults will become owners of their destiny; they will create opportunities themselves. We focus on promoting the food and agriculture sector since the natural setting we are in is very rich on this point. With an ecological, sustainable and environmentally-friendly approach we can help people settle and create business opportunities by means of the doorway to the world: The Internet. Training by our teachers will provide help to potential entrepreneurs by way of digital tools.

Background

The European dimension in the centre objectives is reflected in our Educational project, in point 7 INTERNATIONALISATION OF EDUCATION (page 44), accessible at the official website: http://cepa-montesnorte.centros.castillalamancha.es/content/proyecto-educativo-ncof-plan-digital-de-centro Social inclusion for our students and life-long learning are the two main features of teaching at this educational stage. Also, it is of paramount importance at the centre to integrate all our students and there is a need for our teaching. Moreover, given the special nature of our centre, which has a large catchment area, we are keen to promote open and distance learning. We intend to harmonise the new urban. progressive and technological Europe with the old rural one of traditions that revolves around the primary sector in order to conserve and assess our European cultural heritage. We hope to obtain a sustainable development model which encompasses natural and cultural heritage, as well as technological development and the opportunities there are in our catchment area.
