Achieving new teaching and methodological approaches to fight against our students' dropout and to meet the needs of our school in order to offer the advanced levels in English and French. In the rural area where our school is located population do not have access to that training beyond the level B2. Offering the advanced levels C1 and C2 would enable us to attract new students as there has been a progressive decrease in the number of enrollments in our school over the last few years. Improving the linguistic command of our teachers in order to face the teaching of advanced levels. Such a specialised level demands the teachers' updating through training and jobshadowing periods abroad. Improving the training our students receive thanks to a higher motivation of our teachers and the implementation of more modern methodological approaches, some related to new technologies. Internationalising our school and revitalising it with a new European dimension which would lead to boosting our students' motivation thanks to the implementation of exchange projects through eTwinning and Erasmus+ KA204 and the collaboration with other European partners. The fact that our teachers would be able to do structured courses and would observe different approaches and working methods in other European schools would have a positive impact on our educative centre. The studetns would have access to a more updated methodology with more authentic linguistic models, increasing then their motivation.
The Official Language School Estepa is a public centre run by the Andalucian regional government that teaches English up to level C1 and French up to level B2 in a rural area that lives on agriculture and food manufacturing industry (cakes and olive oil). Thanks to the project “Facing the new challenges in language teaching for adults” we meant to deal with the new challenges our education sector was going through, such as teaching the most advanced levels and avoiding our students' dropouts. For that reason, we needed to update our pedagogic and linguistic skills as well as our command of the use of new technologies in the classroom. We expected to practice the language we teach in a real situation and to collaborate with professionals of the same education sector from other European countries and exchange knowledge and methodology.
