This specific project has set up a main goal to achieve by our teacher consultants: to answer the learning and teaching needs of our teachers, of those who are teaching to children and adults alike. How? Trough the observation in other schools and teacher centres. One of the main strategic threads of our Teacher Centre is to promote the internationalization amongst our teachers and schools in Castilla y León. Therefore,we, ourselves have to be an example to follow. We have to do what we are asking them to do, this is, participating in European projects that promote the improvement in the acquisition of the key competencies that our teacher consultants need for their job. We have to imporve the following key competencies: the inter & intra personal competence, didactic competence to attend the diversity of our students, the management competence of a class or a school, community competence, team work competence,the competence of innovation and improvement, the linguistic and communicative competence, the digital competence and the social one.
We have detected the need of knowing how other Language Teacher consultants work in different Teacher Centres for adults as a need in the development of our own plan of internationalization. It is fundamental to know the most appropiate and innovative methodologies for adults in foreign language teaching and learning; what pathways we must be followed to enable in adults and children the key competencies to acquire and that will enrich our educational community and develop the multilingual and multicultural skills and knowledge. We need to be able to answer to diversity and to promote welfare among the educational community. Schools for children and adults in Castilla y León receive and increasing number of different ethnical minorities, people who are on the razor's edge of being left out and excluded in our society. Pupils from different countries who don't master our own language, let alone a foreign one and have to adapt themselves to a new culture which requires a basic degree in education that will allow them to continue their studies or a better way of incorporating themselves to the working world.
