The main objectives of this project are the following: -Training the teaching staff to promote an inclusive education embracing our students' diversity (economic, cultural, age, gender, functional, religious, ideological, sexual, etc.), and seeking to minimize the possibilities of risk of social exclusion. - Updating the pedagogical practices to overcome the low student motivation and take advantage of the opportunities offered by new technologies in the teaching practice. All this will allow us to carry out a transformation of the traditional teaching-learning scheme into an active process, in which the student is involved in his or her achievements and facilitates to cater for learner diversity. - Obtaining knowledge about how other centers are organized and work to improve the active participation of the community in the proposed activities, educational or not, to make a decisive impact on the region.
Some of the families of our students have a low or medium-low socio-cultural level combined with the exclusive dedication for several generations to working in the agricultural sector. Others are of foreign origin and their socio-cultural and economic level affect their working conditions being the main cause of long hours working in precarious jobs and hindering the parents’ capacity to devote the necessary time to their children. To fight against this reality, our center needs to know how other centers with similar features such as type of population and circumstances work. It is our duty to incorporate those tools useful to us. In addition, with the intention to get closer to our students' individuality and diversity it is essential that our teaching staff is properly trained.
