Objectives

The aim of this project was to fight against school dropout in adulthood by offering training tools to teachers to deal with truancy and school dropouts who return to school in adulthood after a history of academic failure. It was also intended to provide students with a good academic and employment orientation, so that the studies resumed would be the starting point for lifelong learning and a good insertion in the labor market, despite the social obstacles they face. Finally, the aim was to promote European civic values and encourage the internationalization of education as a means of social progress and job enrichment in the educational field.

Background

The profile of the students in the Centro Comarcal de Educación de Adultos Infante presents a high risk of dropping out of school, given their social, family and personal conditions. They are also people with fewer opportunities because they face different obstacles, mainly cultural differences, social and economic obstacles and obstacles derived from the education and training systems. Our project aimed to respond to this reality, as well as to offer tools that facilitate an adequate insertion into the labor market and promote lifelong learning.
