We develop our project around these objectives: - Modify the practice of teachers in Adult Centers taking adult education in other EU countries as a reference framework and that in their work with immigrant students or in Penitentiary Centers can provide us with innovative and creative ideas and methodologies for inclusion and reinsertion. - Motivate students to have a positive attitude towards study and any vital situation, promoting creativity and meaningful learning. - Update teaching practice on the issues of inclusion, reintegration, refugees and migrants, through structured courses and observation (job-shadowing) in other Adult Centers in the European Union. - Improvement of linguistic competence in English and Italian, the last one given the large number of students who come to our center from Italy. - Create a network of centers in southern Europe involved in issues of equality, reintegration and work with students in Penitentiary Centers. - Motivate and help other Adult Centers in Gran Canaria to participate in European projects and create a common line of work to improve Adult Education in the Canaries.
Our institution already has a history of ERASMUS+ projects. Based on the needs of our center, the need to visualize and disseminate the possibilities offered by ERAMUS+ and after a meeting with the Adult Education Centers in the southern area of Gran Canaria, we saw the possibility of requesting a Consortium with two more centers to share, tutor and encourage them to participate and apply for Erasmus+ projects in the future.. In this Consortium we focus our attention on the countries of southern Europe for a purely practical matter, since the vast majority of our students come from this area. Due to this, a substantial part of our mobility takes place in Italy, Greece, Portugal and somewhat less in the Nordic countries, although they have also been taken into account. We also seek to focus our interest on organizations with programs in Penitentiary Centers. Our motto continues to be: move forward and grow towards a society where we work every day in favor of the principles of equal rights, equity, social justice and the reinsertion of inmates in Penitentiary Centers in today's society.
