Basic objectives of the project: - Break the digital divide of our students by promoting the use of ICT as an instrument to combat social exclusion. - Promote the acquisition of innovative methodologies that motivate adult students to combat and prevent their dropping out of school. - Learn from other centers in other countries (including a penitentiary) that with the same difficulties and characteristics as ours can be an example of good practice and integrate all the above objectives into a European educational project in the conviction that our problems can only be addressed in an inclusive and Europeanist global framework. As for the students, we wanted to achieve the following objectives: - Improve the quality of our teaching and combat dropout and school failure. - Integrate the immigrant students of our center so that they become an active and essential part of society. - Improve the training of students in the penitentiary module, facilitating their integration and future employability. - Enrich the social skills of our students and develop ecological awareness and sustainable developmen
CEPA Plus Ultra is an Adult Education Center with about 1,200 students of 55 different nationalities. We also have a section in the prison of Logroño. The challenges our school was facing when we applied for the project were the following: - A multicultural student body, with very diverse economic and sociocultural backgrounds. and different educational needs. - A high number of students at risk of social exclusion. - A high number of students in a situation of digital gap. - A high drop-out rate.. - The teahing staff were involved, but in need of training in active methodologies in adult education, and use of ICT. The context of a European project, which not only offered adequate training for our needs, but also opportunities to meet colleagues from other countries and the good practices that are developed there and establish links for future collaborations, seemed to us the best way to develop our Educational Project. .
