Objectives

Aware of the lasting benefits that our students can obtain with this project, the objective that we have sought is in general: put into practice the strategy of inclusion and diversity of the program with the groups that make up the students of our training programs: young people who come from school failure and the unemployed. And in particular: 1.Improve teaching and learning. Students see their technical knowledge expanded with the ways of working typical of the countries in which they carry out their internships. 2. Expand the horizons of the students and increase their aspirations. Students gain intercultural knowledge and gain new experiences about their own learning. 3.Give staff the opportunity to participate in international opportunities. Provide teachers with new teaching and learning tools and methods. 4. Increase the level of the educational center and bring it closer to the real world, an opportunity to observe how others do in similar formations. 5.Connect with external agents that help improve the employability of students. Liaise with companies and other agents that help in incorporating the student into employment.

Background

On 1.28.2020 when nobody suspected that the pandemic was going to arrive, from the Municipal Employment Institute, an organism of the Zaragoza City Council, where we have been managing mobility for more than 18 years, we presented the project to give our students the opportunity, most of they belong to groups at risk of exclusion, to have a transnational experience that complements their training. We always carry out short and long mobilities (ErasmusPro). The first with our students, young people from Basic Education who come from school failure, and who receive their training in one of the 12 centers of the municipal network of Social and Labor Centers, the second, with students of Training for Employment (unemployed), from courses with Professional Certificates, which are educated in our 5 centers accredited by the Aragonese Employment Institute on: agriculture, quality, air conditioning, graphic design, building, electricity, management, hospitality, gardening, wood, environment, metal, ICTs, prevention and personal services. The project was 24 months, we requested an extension up to 36, to execute it to the maximum, since the circumstances and the profile of our students have been difficult to develop.
