Our main objective with these projects is that the students acquire a unique life experience, not only because of the linguistic, cultural, gastronomic learning, ... that this project implicitly entails, but also are expanded by the amount of skills, methods , job skills they learn in destination countries that differ from ours. On the other hand, this experience also provides them with a capacity for adaptation, autonomy and independence transferable to everyday life that makes them grow both in personal, social and work aspects. Autonomy to make decisions, with some mistakes but there is learning. We have given all those applicants, regardless of gender, business name or economic level, the possibility of finishing their studies in another country, in such a way that we attend to social inclusion and have allowed equal opportunities. Our teachers have also participated in these experiences, living experiences in various study centers but also in private companies where they have seen the labor reality that they have to teach their students to face.
Erasmus+ is an organization with more than proven European support, it is an essential tool for obtaining the objectives that we want to achieve in our center. The CIFP VILLA DE AGÜIMES is located in a municipality of Gran Canaria, called the ultra-peripheral region, this has some advantages but it makes it very difficult for us in certain areas. The Canary Islands is a very important international tourist center, it is the most important economic sector that we have, due to its geographical location it is also a strategic point for international trade, all of which means that a very important academic training is needed to be able to cover the needs of companies in these sectors. The need to master one or several languages is essential, for our students it is very difficult to access this type of studies and then put them into practice, ERASMUS offers us this opportunity. We must know the different cultures and customs of our visitors and thus be able to serve them as if they were at home, ERASMUS helps us with this. One of our main objectives is linked to social inclusion, giving the opportunity for international training without being a barrier any disability, economic obstacles or any reason that would stop students from having the same opportunities as any student who wants to access an Erasmus scholarship.
