The project wanted to carry out two types of activities: Short-VET for practices in companies and Short-STA for training. The objectives were the internationalization of student internships in companies with the completion of the FCT module (Training in Work Centers), the improvement of professional and linguistic skills, the empowerment of transversal skills such as the development of personal and social skills; moreover, the promotion of the mobility of students who live in disadvantaged rural areas and/or with fewer opportunities. Other objectives were the improvement of the linguistic and professional competences of the VT teachers, in addition to the improvement in the educational methodology through the observation of new teaching methodologies and educational tools in a training school; as well as the improvement of knowledge of professional methodologies by observing the organization, processes and methodology of a company in the sector.
Institut La Garrotxa is a Vocational Training educational school with a great experience in international projects, in a region where it is very important to promote training cycles due to its location in a rural area that is not very well connected and due to the emergence of powerful professional surroundings sectors. The 2020 Expanding VET Internationalization project has been a project promoted by the mobility committee of the Institut la Garrotxa, whose main objective has been the continuity and improvement of the internationalization initiated in previous projects together with the achievement of the VET charter in 2019. With this we wanted to continue with the implementation of the European development plan of our training school to carry out the internationalization of internships in European companies complying with the quality standards of the Eramus + program.
