Objectives

Our VET schools , as suppliers of vocational training, must focus towards a methodology for the integral training of students which can prepare them for our borderless changing world, outfitting them with the needed skills to adapt to the multiple and varied professional environments. This is why in our internationalization strategy we aimed at regularizing, developing and consolidating the international scope of our VET schools through international cooperation and trying to give an answer to the goals planned in our internationalization strategy, which were the following: 1. Commitment for the internationalization of our VET schools. 2. Promoting the international profile of our students and teachers. 3. Improving our students’ employability by increasing their competences in English and other languages. 4. Fostering the international image of our VET schools. 5. Setting communication and dissemination systems. 6. Encouraging the dissemination and the results exploitation.

Background

As we offer the same VET studies in the same Spanish region, with the same educative plans and goals, this Consortium members share common needs and objectives, but also those areas where we mean to improve by using the Project Results are identical. Needless to say, we conform the main VET Schools in Asturias and we only differentiate each other in the number of students and teachers involved in our educative processes, and in the professional fields we offer, but our individual willingness to take part in Mobility Actions is not different. We have decided to keep working as Consortium as previous years’ experience has proved being really positive and constructive, our cooperation in searching for partners has been key to guarantee carrying out mobilities successfully; and, also, we applied as Consortium with a main common goal: providing practical solutions to ease our students’ access into the labour market and to improve the professional quality of our teachers. Therefore, we resorted to a very handy tool which also gives a European added value to our goal: the mobility either for placements or training at European companies through the Erasmus+ program and the VET Charter.
