We want to be a centre open to Europe, attractive for its students and staff, offering the possibility to improve their technical, intercultural, linguistic and personal competences, forming critical, active citizens, with social, environmental and European awareness. With the participation in this project we want to 1. Increase the employability of our students, improving both their technical and personal skills. 2. Promote lifelong learning of staff by sharing good practices with our European partners, resulting in an increase in their personal and job satisfaction. 3. Promote competences for lifelong learning, such as digital competences, and values such as equity, non-discrimination, inclusion, environmentally responsible and sustainable behaviour. 4. To increase the involvement of the school's different professional families in European projects. 5. To improve the language skills of pupils and teachers. 6. To promote international competence and dimension and internationalisation in the country of origin among pupils, staff and management of the school.
CIFP MEKA has been involved in European projects since 2002 and internationalisation is one of its strategic objectives. We have a long experience in the field of internationalisation, both in sending students and teaching staff and in receiving participants. We have VET Accreditation and the ECHE Charter. Bearing in mind the mission (CIFP MEKA LHII exists to train and educate people who know how to adapt to the challenges existing in today's and tomorrow's society) and vision of CIFP MEKA LHII (We want to be a reference in the Basque Country because we offer an innovative, egalitarian and close education for students and institutions), its work is aimed at satisfying different groups. We are convinced that participation in the Erasmus programme is a unique opportunity to acquire international and intercultural competences as well as to provide our pupils with lifelong and transversal learning competences to face the future and prepare them for globalisation. For the teachers who take part in this project, the experience is also very enriching because it helps us to see other ways of teaching and learning that they then put into practice in the classroom.
