Countries: ES · Grant: €63,237

Objectives

The objectives in activity A1-Short-term mobility of VET students were intended to encourage students to create self-employment in organic farming in rural areas, diversifying agricultural activity to transformation and trade of local products, which will generate a circular economy in the environment of each participant with the consequent reduction of the carbon footprint. At the same time, an increase was sought in the creation of projects for the incorporation of the most disadvantaged economic sectors and with a greater future projection in rural Galician areas, from agriculture to baking. The main objective of the activity A2- Erasmus Pro- Long-term mobility of VET students was to delve deeper into the business activity that is the object of study during the internship period and that was not achieved in a short-term mobility. In Activity A5- Mobility of personnel for training-observation. The main objective was to find learning tools that would have an impact on improving educational quality and greater participation in the mobility of new teachers within an environment with needs similar to those of Galicia.

Background

The EFA Galicia Federation has been working on the ERASMUS + programs since 2014, going from 20 participants in the first year to 82 last year between the different projects. In reality, this project was requested to enjoy mobility in the 2020-2021 academic year, the pandemic changed everything. The GREEN project was presented with the intention of discovering a new French region with more similarities to the Autonomous Community of Galicia in terms of the agricultural and livestock sector and culture (Bretagne) and to initiate mobility in other countries such as Italy. Mobility was sought in which students and staff discovered in a similar environment in France and Italy the adaptation to the demands of the CAP (Common Agricultural Policy) in awareness of climate change. It was also sought to introduce other training typical of rural areas, such as bakery and confectionery, into the mobilities. Student mobility for short-term internships, student mobility for ErasmusPro internships (90 days) and staff mobility for observation of the curricular project of the training cycle in the French region of Bretagne were requested.
