Objectives

Since the beginning of the Aurrerantz project, our main objective has been to offer participants, (with special emphasis on those with fewer opportunities) the possibility of taking part in a European professional experience that increases their professional and personal skills and their employability. In this campaign we have been able to continue working with students from both Basic Vocational Training and our Task Learning Section (SAT). Since 2016 we have been providing professional certificates to young people with intellectual disabilities who work in protected employment companies and who need to prove their training. Since we are committed to carrying out mobility with students with fewer opportunities, and despite the logistical difficulties, we have been able to verify a notable improvement at a professional and personal level in their self-esteem and autonomy. Despite our attempt to continue in this campaign by including teachers in job shadowing mobilities, with great success in our previous campaign, the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on our calendar and the overlap with Aurrerantz 19, has not allowed us to carry out the teacher mobility that we had planned during this year.

Background

Since 2007 Aurrerantz seeks to offer participants a European professional experience that can help them improve their professional skills and increase their job opportunities. Our projectfocuses on various types of mobility: 1. Movilities of FPB students in companies abroad with two different profiles: a. Young people aged 16-21 with low/medium intellectual disability with limited autonomy and who are part of our Task Learning Section (SAT) b. Young people aged 15-19 who have not achieved the minimum objectives of Secondary School and who, in most cases, have self-esteem, family, social, cognitive problems... 2. Internships for Intermediate VET students in centers abroad to carry out a theoretical module plus practices 3. Young people with intellectual disabilities who already work in sheltered employment companies and who are carrying out/have carried out the complete certificate of professionalism and would carry out theirFCTs (training in work centres) abroad 4. VET teachers to carry out job shadowing, allowing them to learn about the educational improvements of centers which have been working with them for years Traducción
