Our objective was that the students of the Intermediate VET Studies of our center could carry out a training period in European countries; and their teachers carry out direct observation stays at work in companies related to the productive sector of the students. As part of Key Action 1, we intended to: - Student mobilities: our main objective was to offer mobilities in European countries in order to improve the educational experience of our students, allowing them to visit other countries and work with people from abroad, contributing to the personal and professional development of our students. Taking advantage of this fact, we also hope that our participating students become ambassadors and promoters of our project based on their experiences. - Teacher mobilities: thanks to this, our teachers will be able to develop professionally and personally, improving their professional knowledge of educational and personal tools. All these actions will result in a positive impact on their ordinary work with those students who could not participate in the mobilities.
The Federico Mayor Zaragoza High School is an institution with compulsory secondary education and VET education (middle and higher level), as well as adult education. The Vocational Training area includes mid-level studies in Nursing Auxiliary Care, Telecommunications and Health Emergencies, as well as higher-level studies in Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory and Telecommunications Systems. In this context, we consider essential that our students gain work experience and language skills in other European countries and become familiar with other cultures and customs. In this way, we intend to create a network with schools from the rest of Europe sharing teaching and learning experiences, which we are sure will be very enriching not only for students, but also for teachers and the rest of the community; as we believe that working with other European educational and professional institutions and solving problems together as European citizens is and will be essential not only for education, but also for society as a whole.
