The EDU.GUIDANCE project was a multilateral Strategic Partnership between 5 European countries (Spain, Italy, Slovenia, Portugal and Greece) whose goal, in addition to the specific objectives of the project, has been to innovate, internationalize and make educational guidance more effective, by integrating it into the didactics and creating awareness of the different agents that influence the choice processes of young people. The main objectives and activities of our project have been: -Develop digital products designed for innovative guidance and to support the transition between Secondary and Higher Education. This has been achieved through the creation and launch of the digital platforms FutureCarreer and Pro.Guiding, which are proving very successful in the educational communities. "FutureCareer" is a pedagogical platform with online guidance value to support students in identifying the different representations of the main aspects and knowledge of the different professions. "PRO.Guiding" is a web portal of educational itineraries carried out with the methodology of educational guidance didactics diversified by disciplines in order to share trajectories of excellence and good pedagogical practices that serve as an example and help in daily practice. -Assist teachers in the development of didactic guidance tools so they can provide students with the necessary decision-making skills that are appropriate to their personal predispositions before moving on to higher education or the world of work. We have created innovative didactic guidance methodologies that have first been tested with a large number of students at the level of the countries involved and, in a second step, have been included in the Pro.Guiding platform so that many more teachers and experts across Europe can implement them with their students - Disseminate the digital topics more deeply among students and teachers and among parents/adults of reference. - Promote the exchange of best practices for innovation and improvement of the techniques used, so that the contribution of the counselors is more effective. One of the first phases of the project was to carry out an in-depth research by the partners on the situation of career guidance and on the best practices in each country. During the C1 Training Event in Rome these important results were shared so that everyone could learn effective strategies and then pass them on to their educational communities. At the same time this research and the materials developed have been used throughout the project and are available on the Pro.Guiding platform for anyone interested. - Limit school drop-out due to inadequate choices and lack of valorization of talents/attitudes; to help young people to discover their propensities towards specific disciplinary fields, learning to know also the world of the most suitable professions for them. The active participation of a large number of young people and students in our project is the proof that these developed and implemented methodologies are working and that each of them now has more tools and possibilities to explore different professions and abilities for each of them. All this is included in the platform Future.Carreer, and many students have contributed to it. - Develop collaboration and networking between various schools and different educational centers (schools, guidance and training centers, organizations etc...) in order to contribute together to improve students' awareness of the importance of choice and the acquisition of new specific skills. The EDU.GUIDANCE project and its results have reached more than 600 European educational establishments thanks to the involvement of all partners and non-formal partners - Develop the internationalization capacity of the organizations involved through continuous comparison, in particular of schools, for teaching innovation (approaches, methods, contents, tools); to support the dissemination of scientific and technological culture. Another of the objectives achieved thanks to the great professionalism of all the partners and whose benefits are still visible in all the organizations involved. The direct participants of the project have been more than 1200 among high school students, teachers, guidance counsellors and school directors, trainers, We have realized three Transnational Meetings, two Short Training Events for staff, teachers and guidance counsellors and one Final Joint Mobility with 30 European students in Madrid. A really important phase of dissemination and sustainability of the materials and intellectual results of the project has been carried out, with several local events and concrete activities that culminated in the Final Multiplier Event “Guidance and Innovation” held in Madrid in May 2023 with more than 100 participants. . The objectives and products of the project have been achieved in accordance with the initial commitments. The professionals participating in the project gained considerable experience, as well as new and innovative knowledge and methods, which they can use in their daily work, share with their colleagues and incorporate into their own system, so they will continue to use those methods, which they implemented during the project. One of our most important commitments from the very beginning is the continuous and large-scale dissemination of the project results and their sustainability for future young people. That is why each partner has provided an always-active contact e-mail that has been published on the Pro.Guiding platform so that anyone interested can get in touch at any time and receive the necessary information in short times. Under these considerations, now that the project has ended, each organization has become a national reference for the different products developed in order to ensure the continuity of all actions, their visibility and accessibility.
The objectives of EDU.GUIDANCE have been: - To enhance the digitalization of educational guidance through specific and useful tools at European level (the digital platforms Future.Career and Pro.Guiding); - To assist teachers in the development of didactic guidance tools to convey to pupils the necessary decision-making skills that are appropriate to their personal predispositions, before moving on to higher education or the world of work. - Promote the exchange of good practice for innovation and improvement of the techniques used, so that the contribution of guidance counsellors is more effective. - To limit school drop-outs due to inappropriate choices and lack of valorisation of talents/attitudes, by helping young people to discover their propensities towards specific disciplinary fields, learning to know also the world of professions more suitable for them. - To develop collaboration and networking between various schools and different educational establishments (schools, guidance and training centres, organizations etc) in order to contribute together to improve students' awareness of the importance of choice.
The EDU.GUIDANCE project is a multilateral Strategic Partnership between 5 European countries (Spain, Italy, Slovenia, Portugal and Greece). The idea of the project was born from several years of experience in guidance developed by all European partners to help students in their career choice in order to innovate, internationalise and make guidance more effective, by integrating it into didactics and raising awareness of the different actors influencing young people's choice processes. Following the Europe 2020 Strategy towards a smarter, more sustainable and inclusive growth of the economy and society, with this project we wanted to take a step towards flexible and high quality education and training systems so that they can respond to current and future needs. In order to achieve this objective, we have based ourselves on the need to enhance the digitalization of contents, as well as the development of technical skills of guidance counsellors, as strategic factors. The promotion of the use of ICT and the creation of specific and innovative tools at European level have been the key to a necessary change in order to increase the quality of education.
