The project DEVELOPMENT OF A MINDFULNESS AND HOLISTIC PRINCIPLES-BASED MINDFULNESS CARE PROGRAMME AND ITS IMPLEMENTATION IN GROUPS WITH DIVERSE PROFILES has generated and designed practical tools for students and teachers to exclusively promote concentration and focus towards full awareness and self-acceptance. The basic objective has been to achieve a deep state of awareness during the sessions, using a variety of specific techniques. The project activities have been applied to several groups of students with very different profiles. Holistic and mindfulness workshops have been generated for students with Down Syndrome, gifted students, students with various physical and intellectual disabilities and students without them. Each workshop has been adapted to the specific group of students, taking into account their socioeconomic background, abilities, dysfunctions and motivation, and workshops have also been developed jointly in the Malta learning activity. The project has generated a comparative study, based on a professional analysis, of the mindfulness methodology applied to secondary school students by technicians and professors of the Faculty of Pedagogy of the University of Burgos. The project has developed a temporary and technical planning, directed and coordinated by the Faculty of Pedagogy of the University of Burgos, an innovative toolbox, published online with development of activities, and has generated in the participating schools a mindfulness classroom, which has allowed parents and teachers to accompany students in the process and a public guide for the design of holistic strategies and mindfulness, with useful materials and practices for schools and parents. The project has also developed the interest and motivation of teachers and students involved in the opening of self-monitoring systems. Professors from the University of Burgos, experts in the field have worked to validate the results of the project and with the active participation of schools, children and parents from Spain, Malta and Turkey. The participants have developed a joint and face-to-face mobility, supporting the design of materials, defining their needs through groups and interviews, etc. The working groups have been developed among students with different profiles: students with severe disabilities and Down syndrome, gifted students, immigrant students in a difficult socioeconomic situation, students from the American continent and students with a normal profile but with different geographical and socio-cultural situation. In this mobility we have evaluated the development of workshops with students of different profiles and the possibilities of developing them in future occasions in which this situation arises in a conventional classroom. All the material has been published in a blog with links to the twinspace and specific blogs of each center.

The project promotes pedagogical methods to generate the application of this system from a positive and varied perspective applied to different profiles. - Generate a data bank that will allow experiential learning and reinforcement in knowledge of the application of the mindfulness system, learning that will serve for teaching in the application of this system in a diversified way in future teachers. - Reinforce key competences in the students and teachers involved associated with social and civic competences. - Application of workshops for pupils with disabilities, thereby integrating these groups of pupils with this disadvantage into global groups. - Comparison of workshops between students with severe disabilities, specific disabilities, gifted and migrant minorities and with serious social difficulties (working group generated by the partner ONG Voluntariado)
The Spanish and Turkish centres detected a lack of combined developments between schools with different educational profiles and with students with different abilities and disabilities in the application of mindfulness and holistic systems in schools. The project develops holistic and mindfulness workshops adapted to each student profile, but with the same content and with a specific subsequent evaluation. The project aims to generate experience in the schools for the teachers involved and thus be able to train them in the application of the system in different student profiles and adapt it in a significant or non-significant way when it is in that need, for this purpose those responsible in the Faculty of Pedagogy are evaluating in a comparative way similar methodological systems in groups with different profiles, achieving with that the complete evaluation of the system. The project is publishing the results with the indications and instructions, which have been evaluated in contrast to the application of the system. Furthermore, the workshops applied in the learning process of the young people are identifying the level and motivation of the young people involved.
