The European Commission approved the Digital Education Action Plan (2021/2027) that established 3 priorities: 1) To make better use of digital technology for teaching and learning. 2) To develop digital skills and abilities. 3) To improve education through better data analysis and forecasts. COVID-19 pandemic caused a boom in digital services at school environment but it has also highlighted the shortcomings of face-to-face educational systems according to guaranteeing equity and inclusion of digital education, which caused a rebound of school dropout. The previous analysis carried out by the members of the Association related to this aspect allowed to identify the following needs: 1.-Students must be provided with digital skills in order to promote their autonomous work. 2.-Teachers must be able to create their own digital training itineraries in order to design digital activities adapted to the type of groups of students. 3.-It is a priority to detect the digital gap among students as soon as possible, describing their training and digital device deficiencies. 4.-Although most of the students are digital natives, aspects related to online security are unknown. The planned objectives were: 1.-Value the importance of digitization in teaching methods favoring inclusion, equity and reducing inequalities. 2.-Elaborate learning activities using digital tools. 3.-Train students and teachers in aspects related to digital security. 4.-Create digital training itineraries for teachers allowing them to put in practice strategies 5.- Prepare a Digitization Plan for schools. The target groups were: a) Students b) Families c) Faculty The European added value is evidenced by obtaining global results that would be more difficult to obtain individually, which will allow the Digitalization Plan to be carried out at each school to possess strengths derived from this collaborative work. 2.- COVID-19 caused every school to deepen the reinforcement of the digital competence of their students and teachers. 3.-All the members of the Association worked together for the first time and the Italian partner is the first time that they are part of an Erasmus Project. 4.- In the previous work on this proposal, strengths specific to each center were identified that may be shared with the rest of the Association. Before the start of the project, it was planned to carry out a diagnostic evaluation, an Etwinning event, the celebration of Safer Internet Day and joint work between students. It was planned to hold 4 meetings with the following topics: A) Meeting nº 1: "Internet: a safe place to learn" It allowed to achieve objectives 3 and 5 and the expected result 4. B) Meeting nº 2 "Digital tools: different ways of approaching the knowledge" It allowed to achieve the objectives 1, 2, 3 and 4 and the expected results 1, 2, 3 and 4. C) Meeting nº 3 "Digital resources: Different ways of deepening knowledge" It allowed to achieve the objectives 1, 2 and 4 and the expected results 1, 2 and 3. D) Meeting nº 4 "Platforms: a place to host knowledge" It allowed to achieve the objectives 2 and 4 and the expected results 2 and 3. All the activities planned in the project allowed the following expected results to be achieved at the end of the project: A) Preparation of 4 learning units They were made up of the activities carried out after each of the meetings. B) Ability to solve problems of a digital nature. Carrying out all the activities designed in this project from such diverse digital perspectives allowed the training of competent digital citizens in order to reduce the digital divide and promote inclusion. C) Preparation of a Digitization Plan. Thanks to carrying out the planned activities, the schools were provided with a very valuable experience to develop their own Digitization Plan. C) Promotion of digital competence Everything described above allowed a substantial improvement in digital competence in the Association's schools.
The project has addressed the achievement of the following objectives: 1.-Assess the importance of digitalization in teaching methods, promoting inclusion, equity and reducing inequalities. Through prior analysis in each center to promote a medium-term strategy that improves the digitalization of participating centers. 2.-Develop didactic activities through digital tools. Through the design of 4 transversal teaching units with a high digital component. 3.-Train students and teachers in aspects related to digital security. Through training workshops that enhance creative thinking using digital tools. 4.-Create digital training itineraries for teachers that allow them to implement strategies Through small digital training events that allow them to improve their teaching skills. 5.- Prepare a Digitalization Plan for schools. To guarantee the sustainability of the project, it was desired to design a digitalization plan in each center that would allow establishing medium-term strategies to promote digitalization in various areas.
COVID-19 broke out globally at the beginning of 2020, hitting social habits hard, which implied the adoption of prolonged confinements of the population, making a special dent in the educational field, since it led to an increase in the digital divide and also a decrease of academic performance. As project coordinator, there was a need to take advantage of the extraordinary call launched by the European Commission at the end of 2020 to work along the lines of reinforcing digital learning taking as reference the shortcomings and difficulties observed. To do this, other European centers that had the same training needs were contacted via eTwinning. The needs addressed have been: 1.-Improvement of the digital skills of students. 2.-Train teachers so that they are able to create their own digital training itinerary. 3.-Detect the digital divide of each student as soon as possible, describing their lack of training and digital devices. 4.-Improve digital literacy training with special emphasis on aspects related to online security.
