Project summary

The REVIVAL Project was developed in response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly in the cultural and creative sectors. The pandemic disrupted the connection between adult education for people with disabilities and the cultural sector, preventing participation in intercultural activities. The closure of shows and social distancing measures further impacted the revenues of the cultural sector. To address these challenges, the project aims to utilize digital content and online platforms to provide access to cultural content for adults with disabilities, bridging the digital divide and promoting social inclusion through arts and culture. The project aligns with the EU's goals of building a fairer and more inclusive society outlined in the "Digital Education Action Plan" and "EU Disability Strategy." Specific needs addressed by the project include the lack of digital, artistic, and creative skills among individuals with disabilities, poor engagement with and access to theater works and plays, recovery from the COVID-19 crisis, and rebuilding the connection between the cultural sector and the adult disability community.
