The introduction of heritage and rural landscapes in education, the training of experts and technicians and the awareness of the population and citizen participation in relation to the collective values of the territory and cultural heritage, represents an opportunity for better management of the territory. more integrated and with greater social participation. CREAHLANDS not only addressed the shortcomings and insufficiencies of current qualifications in this field, but also made visible the social and educational value of European Cultural Heritage as an instrument for job creation in rural areas. For this reason, CREAHLANDS focuses our attention on achieving the following specific objectives: 1. Strengthen the links between non-formal education and innovation by establishing a European cooperation network between universities/training centers, public administrations and the rural community; 2. Detect and analyze good practices and experiences in the management of Cultural Heritage and the rural landscape (emerging museology, orange tourism, etc.), identifying new opportunities for sustainable territorial development in the post-covid era; 3. Develop quality interdisciplinary training and education, from a participatory, transversal, dynamic and inclusive approach that takes into account the socioeconomic factors of each rural landscape; 4. Bring the reality of the university closer to the rural community in the field of management of Cultural Heritage and the rural landscape, facilitating the use, application and exploitation of knowledge and capacities in R+D+i outside the academic field; 5. Establish smart, participatory and inclusive specialization guidelines for non-formal adult education and training in the EU, in order to enhance the value of Cultural Heritage and increase resilience for sustainable development in rural Europe. To achieve these objectives, we have designed the CREAHLANDS project, structuring it into 6 Working Groups (GT): GT1: COORDINATION AND MANAGEMENT. GT2: DISSEMINATION AND EXPLOITATION OF RESULTS. GT3: EUROPEAN OBSERVATORY FOR SMART SPECIALIZATION IN THE CREATIVE MANAGEMENT OF RURAL HERITAGE AND LANDSCAPE. GT4: DEVELOPMENT OF TRAINING PROFILES AND PROGRAMS GT5: PROFESSIONAL ONLINE TRAINING NETWORK AND KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE BETWEEN PEERS. GT6: LOCAL COMMUNITY FOR SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DIALOGUE. The activities contemplated in each of these phases of the project have followed a collaborative methodology for the development of deliverables and intellectual products. In this way, the different participating organizations have contributed, based on their experience and profile, to train professionals for proactive and participatory management with the capacity to mediate between public and private resources and the rural community in a process of empowerment of the different actors in the field of Cultural Heritage and the European rural landscape. For the selection of said alliance, the necessary profiles were taken into account based on the objectives and access to the final recipients: -Cultural Heritage technicians and managers, cultural management and tourism, socio-cultural facilitators and monitors, experts linked to tourism, cultural management and heritage; -Students, graduates and professionals in need of an adequate professional reconversion, -Associations and companies linked to cultural and creative tourism, professional associations, local and/or rural development associations; -Town councils, young people, inhabitants of rural areas, etc. who see in cultural tourism new employment opportunities and socioeconomic development. - Local Development Agents, Planners, urban planners and professionals of the territory in general - Students, researchers and landscape professionals. Background

The rural world is dying. The crisis process in which it is immersed is characterized by population desertification, economic deactivation and precariousness, and the disappearance of its cultural heritage. All this is replaced by activities for "weekend visitors" who demand economic leisure activities, touristizing the space and changing cultural patterns towards urban models. It is necessary to value the rural world in general, its economic activities linked to the territory, fixing population in quality jobs, managing resources sustainably and generating wealth in the environment. The main asset and the main industry of rural spaces is in its landscape. It is necessary to create a new professional figure trained to manage rural natural heritage; It is also necessary that it be the product of the consensus of different countries of the European Union, each of which will contribute its cultural ideosyncrasies. It is necessary to define the profile of this new figure, establish the contents and design the program and the training methodologies. That is the vocation of CreaHlands. There is a professional niche that takes its first steps to settle in the rural world with this project
