Objectives

In Europe, inequalities persist among young people with a migrant background, who are often discriminated against and negatively stereotyped by the media. The international meeting "Art as an inclusion bridge" aimed to convey a positive and empowering image of young people with minority and migrant backgrounds by highlighting how youth projects can empower young people to see cultural diversity as an asset and migration as an opportunity. The main objective of this training was to develop the skills of European organizations and informal groups in facilitating processes of discrimination prevention, intercultural dialogue and social cohesion. General objectives of this meeting: - To share perspectives on migratory phenomena according to the different European contexts and the various ways of valuing them as an opportunity for development within diversity. - To develop the quality and variety of art-based tools and methodologies in the field of intercultural dialogue, anti-discrimination, inclusion of migrants and peace building processes, encouraging youth organizations and informal groups to create and use them. - To create a network of organizations that will cooperate in the long term and become a resource for other organizations throughout Europe. This project took place in Terrassa - Barcelona from 15 to 21 September 2021 with the participation of 17 youth workers/youth leaders from 8 organizations from the Program countries.
