Objectives

The policy and action of the European Union in the field of human rights have two main aspects. One is to protect the fundamental human rights of EU citizens and the other is to promote human rights throughout the world. The Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union guarantees the rights of EU citizens. It sets out the fundamental rights that are binding on EU institutions and bodies and also on national governments when they are applying EU law. This project is based on the principles that motivated the creation of the European Union as an alliance between people, goods, services and capital to guarantee peace and stability of its member states. This pact guarantees a common ethic to all its citizens and a universal promotion of the ideas of freedom and equality. The union of these Member States guarantees that fundamental rights circulate among them with the same freedom as if they did within the same country, but in turn, each member harbors their own culture, roots and histories that may be dissonant with the values common. The absorption of democratic values and respect for people, regardless of their race, religion or sex, depends on the trajectory of each country and can leave us with a Europe that advances at different speeds in terms of equality despite common legislation. This is why the main objective of the project was to address equality in the assimilation of European democratic values from youth, to promote future generations, free to develop their identity in any member country of the union. By instituting the citizenship of the Union and creating an area of freedom, security and justice, it places the person at the center of its action. Like the Erasmus+ program, we want to vindicate the importance of equality and freedom of people, landing on the following specific objectives: Create a space for dialogue on European Union policies and the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ Program for young people, promote an intersectoral approach to deal with exclusion in areas such as education, employment and social inclusion, promote intercultural awareness and fight against prejudices, support the information and education of young people regarding their rights such as freedom and equality, as well as visualize and analyze the problems of young people from different countries in the field of freedom and equality. The European Union is founded on a strong commitment to promote and protect human rights, democracy and the rule of law throughout the world. Human rights are at the heart of the EU's relations with other countries and regions. Based on EU policies it is important that youth analyze the situation, learn the true meaning of the words “freedom” and “equality” and promote one of the most important human rights.
