The project aimed at creating a network for European island associations to improve their cooperation at European level, in order to build a stable working platform with trusted partners, so that in the future they can create projects in European collaboration that respond to their real needs and common institutional development and work for and with young people. With this project we succeeded in creating an informal network of partners from island associations that work and will work to develop national and international projects in cooperation with a focus on quality management. We also succeeded in sharing best practices in working with and for young people from islands, taking into account the different realities of insularity in order to improve the quality and results of European programs and their connection with the real needs of young people and European island youth organizations. As a result of the project at least 110 youth workers/technicians from 9 European islands were informed about the opportunities of the Program Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps. This project contributed in achieving the specific objectives of the Erasmus+ Program, Youth area, promoting a higher quality of work in the youth field, in particular through greater cooperation between organizations in the field of youth and also responding to the priorities of reaching and equipping youth workers the skills needed to reach hard-to-reach youth.
