With this project we want to create an international network of local associations that works and disseminates the 17 Sustainable Development goals set by the United Nations for 2030, proposing a series of simultaneous actions for all the associations involved. Improving the training, skills, abilities and resources of the attendees through a renewal of the methodologies and activities they carry out with young people. We want to incorporate youths into sustainability, not only for specific events, but to get them involved in their daily lives and in longer activities or in preparation for events. Most of the associations participating in this project need to increase our coordination as we keep often contact and participate in some projects as partners. The creation of this network will facilitate us to meet these needs for both coordination and progress in sustainability horizontally and enrich all of the experiences of the network participants. Therefore, we propose a 10-day course called “Weaves the spider net for sustainability” where will participate part of the management team of each organization and workers and volunteers youths to give them skills, methodologies, techniques and tools to engage young people in campaigns for sustainability at different levels: local, regional and international. The general objectives of this course are: 1) Creation and expansion of an international network formed by local organizations, acting at the local level and coordinated among them. 2) Select which of the 17 objectives to deepen according to the needs of the environment of each organization. As it is a very open proposal, we want to focus on five objectives: - Objective 2: Zero food waste - Objective 5: Gender Equality - Goal 6: Access to Clean Water for all - Goal 11: Sustainable cities - Goal 13: Climate actions 3) Definition of the actions to make from the network in 2020 and 2021 The objectives of this project are: A) Create a network of associations with horizontal operation B) Deepen the 17 objectives of Sustainable Development to improve the training and skills of staff working with young people, promoting participation, the exchange of ideas and knowledge among participants. C) The acquisition of competences in methodologies, teaching and practical resources for the creation of networks and their international coordination. D) Sign an agreement between the organizations committing to support the network and to facilitate in their work with young people, the development of what was agreed in the course. We will support the process during the application. E) Generate an online manual that collects the records of the debates and activities carried out. It will be a synthesis of the course and will be open to new contributions, facilitating the continuity of the project and the network created. F) The dissemination of the project manual through an open-access online platform so that they can be used by citizens or organizations from anywhere, inside and outside the EU for any association, worker or volunteer that acts with young people. Other objectives, in line with those of the Erasmus + program are: G) Improve the level of competencies, attitudes and skills of participants for activities with young people, such as teamwork, expression in a foreign language, improved self-confidence and leadership and creativity, as well as the ability of analysis and innovation. H) Promote non-formal, horizontal learning and continued development of personal growth through workshops, brainstorming, sharing, debates, research and self-training. I) Deepen the active European citizenship, improving mutual knowledge and the connection of interests and objectives, democratic participation, mutual respect for different ideas, consensual decision making and intercultural exchange. J) Promote attendees the acquisition of skills to enhance the objectives, gestures and attitudes to improve the sustainability promoted by the European Union, always seeking sustainable development of the place, favoring intercultural dialogue, social integration, local employment and ability to access a job. K) Strengthen the role of youth organizations to promote mobility, interculturality and European integration.
