Objectives

The project aims to incorporate the technological perspective to workers in the field of youth who train young people. As workers, we must take into account the media literacy of the generations we serve in the youth mobility program that move in a changing and complex media context, framed in the multimedia era. According to the data provided by the National Institute of Statistics, 99% of young people between 18 and 34 use the Internet and worldwide, according to official platforms, more than half of the population is a user of the network. This project has as main objective that workers in the field of youth educate in critical thinking, through debate and the search for different ways of information to teach how to draw their own conclusions. So their specific objectives will focus on workers learning to incorporate in their activities the promotion of debate, know how to promote diversity and intercultural and interreligious dialogue to be able to question the information they receive, that they themselves learn to Identify and disassemble messages that encourage radicalization, consumption or biased behaviors and are capable of teaching how to generate their own and truthful content. In a second part, we want to propose a theoretical model of citizen literacy in the face of this digital culture that consists of two basic axes or planes: the first referred to the areas or dimensions of literacy, and the second to learning competencies (instrumental , cognitive, intellectual, socio-communication, emotional and axiological) to be developed in young people.
