Cooperation for Sustainable Development was a training course with the aim to fight against the pessimistic view of the current world economical situation, which leads young people to social exclusion, and presented itself as an opportunity to develop new attitudes, presenting social and business actions that can contribute to change, in times when these are extremely necessary. The project was focused, on one side, on the Social and Sustainable Entrepreneurship topic (SSE). We believe that SSE is the perfect tool that could be used also for youth work, we can meet the needs that the actual economic situation has created, and use these new business model to improve the quality of the youth work, through putting the focus on more social and green initiatives that focus on the people rather than in the economic profit. To keep themselves updated, youth workers need to re-map their target group needs from time-to- time, while at the same time assessing themselves and improving their knowledge, skills and attitudes. In this way, they become able to create new methods to support youth in entering the labor market by becoming entrepreneurs and in becoming active and aware members of their communities. So that non-formal youth work can have a significant impact, the competences of youth workers need to be improved. On the other side, we also explored during the project the Collaborative Consumption (CC) and Shared Economy topic (SE), presenting them as an innovative economic model and as a different perspective on how interaction between people can really make the difference in quality and sustainable lifestyle. We presented them as the transition from ownership to access and as an opportunity to fight against marginalization. The objectives of the training course were: - Raise awareness towards SSE and its opportunities among the youth workers from promoter organizations; - Promote use of SSE tools in youth work, sharing best practices and equip youth workers and other young people by competences and methods for their personal and professional development; - Explore the CC and SE topic and present them as innovative methodologies to develop new tools and workshops in the youth work field - Present Collaborative Consumption platforms as a feasible way to finance project ideas - Opening reflection regarding the global challenges, such as ecology, poverty, accessibility and providing the space; - Strengthen sense of initiative, entrepreneurship and creativity of the project participants and other stakeholders; - Stimulate the participants to become active in society and develop new skills; - Promote Erasmus+ program and cooperation between EU and partner countries through building new partnerships; - Promote diversity, intercultural and inter-religious exchange, tolerance and solidarity.
