The 'CAFY: Culture Adapted for Youth' project was born from the need, as youth professionals, to reflect on the accessibility of all people to spaces and activities, regardless of their physical, sensory and/or cognitive condition. Thus, in the daily work of Taller d'Art, Cultura i Creació in youth and cultural facilities, it was identified that most of the environments through which the participants pass are not accessible to all people, including those linked to art and culture. On the one hand, people with functional diversity face daily physical, sensory and cognitive barriers, as well as socio-cultural, legal and mental ones, when it comes to accessing these spaces and their proposals as a public, limiting their access to knowledge and leisure. On the other hand, these people also often encounter difficulties in being considered artists and participating in cultural projects, seeing their participation as creators boycotted on a daily basis. The entity must deal with these issues with the adolescents and young people with whom it works, which is why it has been considered necessary to create a space for reflection and action among European trainers around the accessibility of people with functional diversity in artistic spaces, as audiences and as participants. The training was developed through a dynamic methodology, sharing experiences, generating new knowledge and making inclusion effective through future cultural projects. In addition, training modules were organized where entities and experts from the territory presented inclusive projects such as the dance group Ame Movimiento Expresion, the theater company Diversitat Teatral and the music therapist and collaborator of the Apropa Cultura initiative, Catherine Clancy. In addition, a multitude of artistic expressions such as photography, dance, performing arts and music have been used as tools. The objectives achieved during the project are detailed below: GENERAL OBJECTIVES 1.0. Create a critical opinion regarding the exclusion of people with functional diversity in artistic spaces as audiences and as participants. 1.1. Generate new knowledge through theater, music and dance. 1.2. Make inclusion effective through future cultural projects. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES 1.0. Establish a training space through learning, debate, reflection and the transfer of opinions. 1.1. Make visible the difficulties of accessibility to the culture of the group with functional diversity. 1.2. Raise awareness of the lack of diversity of the participants in artistic projects and become aware of the shared benefits of promoting it. 1.3. Share and exchange knowledge, initiatives and proposals carried out by the different European countries between cultural institutions and entities that work with people with functional diversity. 1.4. Promote the definition and learning of measures to develop more inclusive and accessible artistic projects for these new audiences and participants. 1.5. Propose the development of a joint inclusive-artistic project where the measures defined and learned during the training are implemented. The 'CAFY' training for trainers took place from July 11 to 15, 2022 (plus 2 days of travel) in the municipality of Sabadell thanks to the collaboration of Estruch, Fábrica de Creacion, a municipally owned artistic facility, and included with European youth workers belonging to 7 entities from Spain, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Portugal and Romania. The objectives of the 'CAFY' have been related to the priorities of the Erasmus + Program, since it has focused its work on the development of more accessible artistic projects, favoring equal opportunities and social inclusion.
