Objectives

YALAH was a project that put young Europeans in contact with the purpose of familiarizing them with the reality of refugee people. Special attention is paid to the Saharawi conflict and the situation in the Algerian fields, awaiting some resolution to this. It was a project that arose from the interest of the young people of the city of Rubí, which is twinned with the Saharawi town of Daria de Guelta. From there arose the possibility of managing the project through our organization, involving young people from the city of Rubí. The youth exchange generated spaces for reflection among young Europeans about the situation of refugees, both Saharawi and those resulting from other conflicts. This created spaces in which the participants shared experiences, knowledge, and became aware of the cause, and social reporting was also encouraged. The objectives proposed for the project were the following: MAIN OBJECTIVE: 1. Understand the situation of people who have become refugees as a result of various circumstances around the world. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: 1.0 Gain an understanding of the Sahara conflict and form an informed opinion about it. 1.1 Promote debate on various political, social, and humanitarian conflicts around the world. 1.2 Recognize the importance of political interests in the management of international conflicts. 1.3. Become aware of the influence of the media in the treatment of issues such as the refugee crisis. 1.4. Raise awareness about the situation of refugees, especially Saharawis. 1.5. Sharing knowledge, initiatives, and projects carried out by different European countries.
