Objectives

"Circular Cultural Tourism" has two main objectives to address for those youth workers participaiting in this training course project: foster sustainable tourism through circular economy and promote cultural tourism in order to better conserve culture and patrimony. As it has been mentioned, nowadays tourism is a sector that follows a linear economy based on consumerism and the waste of energy, resources and materials that might be used for other pruposes. Moreover, as tourism represents one of the most benefitial economical activities in Spain, specillay in rural areas where depopulation and migration of younger talents are present problems that arising, it necessary to look for solutions in this field. On the other hand, culture and patrimony are a source of touristic activities and events, creating a reciprocal effect: if there is tourism, culture is preserved, and if there is culture, tourism is preserved. A possible solution for these problems that world is facing and Europe as well, are methodologies like circular economy. This economy is based in the reuse and the good utilsation of these resources, energy and materials, that rather to be thrown away are applied for further activities, meaning the reduction of impact on the envirornment and the emissions to the atmosphere. Consequently, it is necessary to educate, prepare and train youth workers and youngsters too, who are the future generations, in these kind of good practices in order to prepare the world to be more sustainable. In addition to this, by creating conscience and awareness about this problem humanity is having, it will be promoted and developed soft skills among participants. On the other hand, culture and patrimony are the heritage of Europe, implying the memory of our past and our history. Tourism is helping to put in value again these culture and making that more people is interested in these topics. A part from that, local owners and inhabitants from places where cultural venues are present are having economical benefits that they need in terms of living. That is so important to promote cultural toursim in order to ramain both heritage and economic growth, applying a point of view of sustanabilty and reduction of the impact on the envirorment. In relation to this, "Circular Cultural Tourism project aims to work with youth workers from six different European countries, but also workers related to entrepreneursip support, sustanabilty, patrimony heritage and cultural tourism. All of them will participate in a training course in which they will improve their skills related to promote sustainable entrepreneurship and creative economy among youngsters. In relation to this, the participants will also learn different ways to value and promote the European historical traditions and how to use them as economic, tourist and cultural opportunities for professionals and young entrepreneurs of their respective territories. In this sense, it will represent an occasion for training and cultural exchange, where the recovery of historical and cultural traditions will also represent an occasion for the development of future innovative and creative tourism business initiatives in each of the partner countries, and participants will be able to advertise, support and facilitate youngsters to be a succesful entrepreneurs in related topics. In line with the objectives of the Erasmus + Program, the project aims to achieve the following objectives: - Develop personal and professional growth of workers in the field of youth in relation to the promotion and enhancement of European heritage in relation to cultural tourism and applying circular economy for a more sustaniable tourism. -To train youth professionals in the field of cultural toursim in order to improve activities related to tourism and protecting the envirorment. -To present circular economy as a tool to fight against pollution, shortage of natural resources and massive consumerism, focusing on touristic activities. - To raise awareness about the importance and value of natural resources in our planet. -To value natural environments and how these environments can be respected although are visted by touristic reasons. -To spread multiculturalism to work in international groups. - Promote multiculturalism, knowledge and respect for different European traditions and cultures. - Encourage the active participation of young people as a mechanism for their social inclusion. For this reason, La Vera Shire - Cáceres, Spain- will be the most suitable place for the training course as cultural tourism is a strong pilar for the conservation of patrimony and also a strong economic activity that is helping inhabitants to remain in their homes and avoiding depopulation and migration. Plus, during ten days taht the trainig course will be held, youth workers will developed and improve their soft skills and will put into value different principlesin the subject address in thr project.
