The FUNZINES youth exchange project was an exchange through which we wanted to create a dialogue between young people from different countries, in this case, from Poland, Spain, Macedonia, Hungary and Slovakia through the language of "zines" to create a space of social cohesion in which to share the concerns and interests of the young population living in the European Union. The "Do It Yourself'"that we now see everywhere (we design our own clothes, grow our own gardens, generate the energy we consume ourselves...) was our inspiration for the design of this youth exchange. We wanted to foster an environment of tolerance to promote critical thinking and give young people a set of tools with which they can express their ideas to the rest of society in a respectful way towards others and being aware of the power that comes with freedom of expression in an interconnected world through thousands of platforms and social networks. The objectives of FUNZINES were: - Encourage global dialogue based on tolerance and respect. - Promote critical thinking and the existence of an active young population that works to improve the environment in which we live. - Prevent hate speech in social networks and in any media in general. - Establish links between different cultures and promote cultural diversity. - Generate a series of digital and paper contents to share the ideas developed throughout the exchange.
