Parkeri was very interested in carrying out this project which relates to several goals of the organization: connecting communities and social agents, creating learning bridges, collaborating with different cultures and groups, promoting social empowerment through participation and maintaining coherence with previous projects. This project is the result of reflection and collaboration between Parkeri and other organizations during the CMS "Genderaction", held in 2019, in which several participants expressed their interest in working in this field, as well as sharing ideas that would expand resources with the ones we have in different organizations, contexts and communities. Love Yourself First is a project that has had a mobility for youth workers, a seminar framed in the key action 1, with which we wanted to offer those who participate a meeting, exchange and reflection space on self-esteem, self-concept, identity and self-care, as well as to facilitate the creation and learning of new tools and resources to increase the empowerment of youth. The focus has been that the participants can transfer, contrast and apply what they have learned with the young population with whom they work in their communities of origin. The specific objectives are: 1. To develop and reflect on the knowledge of self-esteem and the factors that influence it. 2. Discover how to put into practice the key elements and concepts of self-esteem, self-concept and self-knowledge, as well as self-respect and acceptance. 3. Learn to include self-love and self-care as sensitive factors in gender issues. 4. Deepen the work on inclusion of young people regardless of their diversity. 5. Improve and incorporate new tools in the work with young people. 6. Create a network of youth workers from different countries and regions for the exchange of good practices, tools and resources. 7. Strengthen the international partnership network for future projects.
