The teachers who participated wanted better tools and methods for student follow-up and practical aspects of Study strongly, and knowledge of how to work across subject boundaries to win for the students to achieve a more versatile competence than before, where the students become more persistent and resilient than before, increase the inner motivation of the students. Interdisciplinary teaching thus becomes more connected to reality and together a positive operating culture is created. With increased collaboration and learning as a joint process, create a better understanding of each other's language and concepts, as well as increase the willingness and interest of the college to teach interdisciplinary and combine knowledge and information in more creative ways. The project has led to discussions about how this should be developed in the future and inspiration for this, among other things, it is intended to submit 2 applications for the KA1 Small scale project in October 2023.
At the time of application, we were faced with a new curriculum that would come into effect in the fall of 2021. In the curriculum, six areas of competence are identified, of which we identified three we wanted to advance in; competence for well-being, communicative competence, interdisciplinary and creative competence. The main reason for the changes in the curriculum was to make the students feel more involved and meaningful in their studies by creating larger study sections and more interdisciplinary teaching. Several of our teachers felt that they were not used to working across subjects and wanted to supplement their knowledge. In addition, we had noticed that the motivation for studies was declining and that it had become increasingly difficult to reach the students and arouse interest in the various school subjects. By shadowing colleagues in other countries and seeing how they work with students' mental and physical well-being, we would strengthen our skills and better identify how we should work with and strengthen this in our own organization.
