We wanted to courage the youth to take better care of their local environment, using different tools as social media, flash mob dance show and showing example of their own environmental friendly behavior. With Flash mob what we created were the main event in our project. The idea was to go where is most crowded and get the attention from the locals. Dance is very powerful tool to get noticed and you can basically use it in any meaningful happening to get the attention. We wanted and we did observed the environment in Antwerp and had a great discussion together about the differences, between Finland and Belgium situation about cycling, trash bins. Its not perfect in Finland but we noticed that Finland is head of Belgium and many other countries as well. This made participants see the good and the bad of the situation. Our main goal was to make an impact to other people. Social media is our biggest platform where we could express our mission. Secondly we made clear for the locals in Antwerp what we are pursuing with this project. Like our project name says: "OUR ENVIRONMENT". We wanted people to stop for a moment and make a small change in their daily habits. Clean, recycling, choices in everyday can effect so much for our earth we are living in. There is so much happening in the world, around us that it made us want to show the way how others can help environment. We wanted to give the opportunity to the participants to make an impact in issues important for them. They chose to make an positive effect on the environment, inspiring the local people and other youth.
