The young people's goal was to get to know Finland's nature and environment and compare it to the partner country Spain. The main goal was to arouse thoughts about how one could better consider the environment and climate change in one's own life. The young people said that they suffer from climate anxiety and wanted to talk about the topic in that exchange. Young people want to learn by themselves and to arouse thoughts in other people. The goal is to learn more about nature, the gifts of nature, climate change, and small activities that can help nature. During the exchange, we learn about the rights of everyone in Finland, biodiversity and conservation, recycling and sustainable development. We learn to respect and appreciate their own nature and help nature with their own small actions. We want to help people to realize that climate change is real. At the same time, we learn about Finnish culture and traditions. We learn how to spend traditional cottage life in Finland, like making food in fire, fishing and making a sauna “vasta”.
