However, these topics are handled differently in the European countries. At the same time, there is great potential in sport for a successful integration and inclusion. During workshops and workgroup phases we discussed and worked on this potential and developed ideas on how to use this potential. In addition, intercultural exchange was an objective of the Baltic Youth Exchange. By meeting young people from the Baltic Sea region understanding, tolerance and the idea of an European identity was promoted. Participants were also shown possibilities how they can contribute to the political development of their region as well as Europe at local and regional level. Due to this, it also supported democratic life in Europe and active citizenship. Furthermore, it strengthened the cooperation between countries in the Baltic Sea region and other partner countries. The common experience in the group and the communication in English also promoted teamwork and communication skills. The work on the topic was done with a mix of methods from ice-breakers and warm-ups to group exercises and simulation games. Moreover, the issue was worked on in different small groups and plenary discussions in different settings. So, we did an Action Bound rally, during which the participants dealt with different aspects of the topic. To develop a group feeling we also did different experiential education communication and cooperation exercises. In addition, various "outdoor activities" were done. All participants received a "Youthpass" certificate.
