Our main objective in this project was to offer both students and staff the opportunity to participate in international activities, in short-term or long-term mobilities, so they can increase their international and multicultural skills as well other skills (soft skills) needed in working life. International experiences enhance students’ self-confidence, improve their problem-solving skills and help them to recognize their own strengths and weaknesses and thus, they will be better prepared to work in multicultural environments. These skills ensure also better employability. International cooperation helps to increase the motivation of staff by offering possibility to develop or share their own knowledge with others, to strengthen the college’s network abroad, or the develop the international activities of our college. Teachers who are interested in exchanges also encourage and motivate students to take part in international activities. Mobility periods of staff also help us to maintain and expand our international networks so that the mobility of students and staff would be possible also in the future.
One of the goals of Business College's new strategy (2020-2022) is to make Global Mindset a fundamental part of our thinking and operations, both among our staff and students. The internationalization path is part of our educational offering; hence, we are constantly reinforcing our international education products and services, such as our English Programs. International collaboration is a quality factor in vocational education and training, enabling better employability; in addition to those traditionally seen as international skills, such as interaction, tolerance, cultural and language skills, internationality develops other working life skills by developing students' skills such as adaptability, perseverance, networking, curiosity, and the ability to adjust to changing circumstances. Therefore, individual growth can be emphasized in student mobility – at its best, international experience can change student's identity, create a stronger self-image and increase self-confidence. Internationalization creates new kind of expertise, ability to think innovative and broader networks for organizations.
