Thrilled with their experience of the structured course 'Teaching English - Motivating Learners and Preparing for CLIL', Ms Couasnon and Ms Rage put into practice the collaborative activities and techniques they had observed with their classes and saw the beneficial impact on learners and colleagues. Following the level 2 course, 'Teaching English Creatively', with the same trainer seemed only natural. The dissemination sessions created a team dynamic. Ms Couillard, CPE, focused on the theme of supporting students in their personal development, managing their emotions and acquiring 21st century skills. In order to broaden our experience and our professional network for future projects, a partnership was created with a school in Romania, including in the team Mrs Corrochano, a Spanish teacher, who is very involved in creative and innovative activities.
Our school has set European openness as one of its priorities, as shown by our School Project. Our team wished to help students build "a civic identity by opening up to the cultural, economic and social, European and international environment". In addition, the participation of several staff members in the various structured courses responds to a need for training in order to better accompany and value the students.
