Objectives

Thanks to these moblities, we hoped teachers would build more partnerships in Europe, in order to motivate their students and make them succeed. Teacher trainers could try to convince all teachers in Orne to create European projects. Our area would thus be more attractive. Teacher assistants in bilingual schools could speak English more easily and could share their knowledge with their colleagues. The common aim was to make students succeed. To reach this aim, participants wanted to work on different schemes : - Teachers wanted to discover new teaching materials, increase their self-confidence by inscreasing their English skills, become more European in their teaching, discover another education system and work in a team. What's more they would a partner network for European projects. - Teacher trainers would increase their English skills, would discover another education system and would meet people to contact to build partnerships between shcools in Orne and schools locally. - Tea her assistants wanted to increase ther level of English and share their experience to be able to give the highest number of instructions in class in English.

Background

Because it was such a rural area, we needed to help Orne to become an attractive area. To achieve this, we needed to increase our students' skills thanks to better-trained and more motivated teachers, teacher assistants and teacher trainers. Also they had to be able to build European projects and be convinced that they would be a great help for their students. Thus it was necessary for students, teacher assistants, teachers and teacher trainers to be aware of their European citizenship and more ambitiuos in their university and professional choices.
