First of all, we wished to give the opprotunity to staff members, not accustomed to languages (English for example) to live a language and human experiment out of their everyday school environment. Then it was important for them to recover confidence in the language skills, to enrich their school practice with students using a foreign languag (English) more easily and fluently, to be aware of their part in the communication about the European citizenship among the teachers and to live their own citizenship close to the reality of Europe. Finally, we wished to enlight the specifities of the technological scholarship (business and industry) with our students by giving staff members who teach sciences, chemistry, French literature and sports to give a enhanced meaning to their professional skills and practice. This will be done through the choice of the DNL certification to teach sports, and be involved in a class project or through ERASMUS+ project by French literature teacher or science teachers.
Our school have been involved in European and international projects for years. Our wish is give our staff the opportunity to enrich their practice as teachers, to improve and reinforce their skills in foreign languages, to make them encounter the European citizenship. The mobilities of reinforcing skills in languages are the first steps to build a personal and professional project (exchanges, language certification, eTwinning projects) for the staff members who are not working with languages in their everyday practice, neither with the European connections: this may help to enhance the way everyone lives his or her professional skills with their students, or with the teachers team. We have targeted ETLVA (technical English) particularly in technological high school. Finally, we wanted these teacher and staff members to be able to communicate and create a ERASMUS+ positive and creative movement within our school: living the European citizenship on the ground and launching future projects (consortium EURONANTES LA SALLE...)
