The CampusMob consortium is the first phase of the internationalisation strategy of the Campus des Métiers et des qualifications d'excellence gastronomie hôtellerie et tourismes Occitanie. France welcomes 90 million tourists a year and the students trained in our establishments are meant to work abroad. The hotel and tourism study pathways meet the needs of the partners from the economic world who are looking for French expertise and quality. Academic experience shows that the international mobility of young people in Occitanie is much lower than in the rest of France. Only 3% of teachers carry out professional mobilities abroad, but 75% of them consider that it has an impact on their teaching practices. 60% of learners who have been on a mobility have developed useful skills in languages and adaptability, and their training and professionalization opportunities are enhanced. The members of the Campus have swung into action: exchange and mobility actions, choice of two referent staff per institution. The internationalisation strategy of the Campus approved in 2018 is based on the creation of a Consortium to promote the mobility of Campus staff, mobility ambassadors to the learners.
