The implementation of this project was intended to enable participants to "inspire in order to innovate". More concretely, we had the following objectives: -to observe innovative teaching practices in other European schools, in order to get inspiration for renewing our own teaching practices -to discover the educational system of other European countries, in particular the Finnish educational system, which is recognised throughout Europe as one of the best. We wanted to understand the advantages of this system and reflect on what could be transposed in our school -To strengthen the skills of the teachers and staff of the Evariste Galois high school -Strengthen the links between colleagues in the school and develop our teamwork, disciplinary and/or interdisciplinary, in order to collaborate between teachers of different subjects and create new educational projects for our students -Strengthen cooperation with one of our Erasmus KA229 project partners -To enhance the image and promote a certain influence of the school within the educational community and within the Académie de Versailles, by reinforcing its international outlook and by contributing to the training of our staff.
In January 2020, following a training session led by the DAREIC in the Versailles academy, Cécile Lamar, ERAEI since September 2019, wanted to involve the school in a project of staff mobility. She carried out a survey in order to estimate the needs and the demand in terms of international opening. This survey highlighted a certain unease among the staff which revealed a need to renew their teaching practices and a desire to strengthen teamwork. The INSPIRE project was thus born, in the continuity of the school's European opening projects: -the teaching of 7 modern languages -the existence of 3 European sections, in Portuguese, Spanish and English, and pairings with schools in Spain -Participation in a KA229 project "Water Day and Earth Day" since September 2018, led by Bénédicte MacGregor, who then became co-leader of the INSPIRE project -the prospect of applying for a new KA229 project for the 2020-2021 school year -the Euroscol label received by the school in 2019, testifying to its dynamism in terms of international openness. Hence, eighteen staff members wanted to renew their teaching method thanks to this new project.
