Several teachers were mobilized to participate in this project with distinct but convergent objectives. Some of them wanted to improve their foreign language skills (English and German) in order to be able to engage in projects with foreign partners and to communicate more easily with them. Interdisciplinary projects (music-English or visual arts-German or English-History...) are therefore part of our objectives as well as the implementation of trips abroad by teachers of non-language disciplines. A second group of teachers wished to be trained in Scandinavian pedagogies, which correspond well to what several colleagues tend to set up in their cooperative classes. These have been implemented over time and are now offered to each level from 6ème to 3ème at the rate of one class per level. Our desire is to maintain them by creating a solid base of common pedagogical practices, while working with foreign establishments to be able to bring these teaching methods to life with our students and share our experiences with teachers in partner countries.
We wished to pursue our approach of opening up to the international scene as we have defined it in our institutional project (2019-2023). Our previous experience (a K229 file successfully completed) has reinforced our desire to benefit from projects subsidized under the Erasmus+ programs. Axis 1 of our school project (labelled Euroscol since 2019) is entitled "The success of all" and provides for an objective around the cultural enrichment of students by offering them a linguistic and cultural discovery trip, as well as the implementation of European partnerships. Our school offers CHAM, CHAD, CHAP, and LCE options, and we are committed to bringing these sections to life in such a way as to allow for this enrichment while creating the motivation that a trip abroad represents. Axis 2 of our project is entitled "a student as a citizen open to the world", which includes a desire to "promote a serene climate, conducive to growth and learning". Within this framework, since 2016 we have continued to set up "cooperative" classes which take up certain principles of Scandinavian positive pedagogies centered on the well-being of the student.
