Objectives

The concrete objective of this project is the construction and implementation of a resource kit made available to teachers in the REP + network to improve the oral skills of students. It gives more space to oral learning in the classroom. By promoting professional training open to Europe, this project allows participants to study foreign and innovative systems to identify and transfer good practices. It implies an increase in the linguistic skills of the teachers involved who can diversify and enrich their teaching of oral language. This project also aims to develop new language resources that are motivating for the students. In conclusion, the experience was very positive for all participants. The professional meetings during the training sessions enabled the teachers to come back with resources and innovative practices to promote oral language in learning and to build tools to help improve the students' language skills.

Background

The GIP-FCIP of the Aix-Marseille academy applied for this project in conjunction with and for the benefit of the Bouches du Rhône Departmental Services Directorate of National Education for several reasons: Faced with the language difficulties of the students in the schools involved (poverty of vocabulary, poor syntax) we chose to focus our work on the oral language. We were also interested in discovering other European teaching practices in order to diversify our practices. An ERASMUS+ project, when it is transversal to several schools, allows teachers to unite and to share and circulate resources and pedagogical reflections on the learning of oral language. The teachers of the network work on a common project. The 9 teachers on this project work in 3 different schools belonging to the same Priority Education network. Joint REP+ inter-school training sessions are organized during the year. The observations and ERASMUS training sessions conducted within the framework of the project will help to nourish the network.
