The implementation of the project aimed at setting up different measures to support the staff and the students, with the desire to foster goodwill and better communication. Our will was to decrease the tensions inherent to school life, putting forward new tools to improve the relationships between the different communities, and also to change the way some communities see the school. We thought that a progressive vision of the school would help strengthen trust and mutual blossoming. Our intent was also to get out of a traditional hierarchical setting between the staff and inside the classrooms, with lectures coming from the teacher down to the students, and to encourage new initiatives in which relationships have better understanding and blossoming conditions. Finally, improving the school environment was the most important goal of our project, because it would allow not only better school results but also self-improvement amongst students. A renewed pedagogy, energized staff, good willed answers fitted to the needs of the school community : it is what we wanted to achieve with this project.
Following the European projects developed by our school since 2014, we took the initiative to apply to this project in order to carry on with a process that has already proven successful. We really wanted to put forward the international dynamic of the school, according to the school project and national directives. It was also important and relevant to do it according to the academy policy in terms of European development. This project seemed a key to help improve the school's two main fields of activity : pedagogy and education, while developing our European commitment. Lifelong learning was also one of the main reasons to apply. We wanted to improve and galvanise professional good practice by bringing pedagogical innovation through methods and tools, in relation with neurosciences amongst others. Furthermore, our goal was to improve the school's atmosphere thanks to all these innovations, and to support multidisciplinary team work by giving the staff means and tools to build quality projects. It was essential not to let a professional routine settle in by encouraging initiatives. Improving the linguistic and cultural skills of the participants and their well-being was also a cornerstone of our application. All these aforementioned reasons led us to commit again in this process.
