Objectives

In its versions prior to 2021, it is intended for staff and is a real lever for the multiplication of projects for learners. This has been our main objective since the beginning of this consortium in 2016. Better trained staff, more open-minded staff, staff who are aware of the benefits of mobility through their own experience(s), are more inclined to implement or participate in outreach projects for their students, whether through learning mobility projects abroad (incoming or outgoing) or through partnership projects between structures in different countries. This is what we have been able to measure for several years, with an increase year after year in the number of schools that are members of our consortia or involved in a multinational partnership. This consortium has also been also the opportunity to reinforce historic partneships of the educational authority of Amiens (United Kingdom, Germany,…) around specific topics.

Background

With a regional dropout rate over the French average and the highest unemployment rate in France for young people under 25 (over 25%), the Amiens educational authority must implement strong educational measures to reduce territorial inequalities and lower the rates mentioned above. This is why our regional educational project « Ambition 2025 », includes a major objective around mobility of students and teachers (Axis 2, objective 3 : fostering openness on the World). Pupils and students are the first target and the two other educational-authority consortia prove it : CIME_pro and CIME_sup (Inter-academic Consortium for Mobility in Europe in the vocational field, and its equivalent in higher education). The MOPAAM consortium, which is still in force today despite being re-baptised CIME_sco (and which is open to school students from the start of the school year 2021-2022), is the complement to these consortia since 2016.
