Firstly, more applications to support student mobility. Secondly, opportunities for our school to open up to Europe, in particular the opening of European classes for example. Finally, additional skills and know-how for the school's staff: language training is part of lifelong learning. This additional skill enables them to carry out professional mobility abroad (job shadowing).
We have an Erasmus Vocational Education and Training Mobility project. Learners go on vocational mobilities to European companies and are supervised by staff from our school. The lack of mentors for the student mobilities made us wonder why. The need for further training in a foreign language came to the fore. The fact of going alone or accompanying learners does not have the same level of responsibility. The staff consider that it is imperative to be able to explain oneself orally in the event of a problem: a need for reinforcement and improvement in foreign languages was obvisous. The same was true for the staff concerning professional mobility abroad: the desire was present but some were held back by an insufficient command of English or another foreign language.
