The main goals were to reinforce : language skills, european cultural knowledge, and didactic competencies in teaching English and using English language to teach, to build up team work between participants (from primary to secundary schools), and links with Ireland, to increase motivation, and to develop the CLIL schools network (Reinforced Language Poles).
The Versailles Academy implements actions in order to meet the objectives of the “Plan langues vivantes”, in accordance with European recommendations. In this context, the Yvelines department supports schools to develop CLIL approach. This project was supposed to give a European and international dimension to all the participants (teachers, trainers and inspectors). It should allow them to discover and experience an anglo saxon approach of teaching and learning.
